My local photography club is the Lytham St Annes Photographic Society (LSAPS) and I have been a member since 2016. The club organises two types of competitions:-
- Season Competitions – A series of 9 competitions, held throughout the year, which are a mix of Digital or Print competitions. Some are ‘open’ competitions, allowing any subject, others follow a Set Subject theme. Up to 2 images can be entered in each competition, which are judged out of a score of 20.
- Photoshow – The club organises an exhibition at the end of the season and up to 20 images can be entered – 10 Digital and 10 print – across a series of genre categories. Images are awarded 1st, 2nd or 3rd place in each category, along with a number of Commended or Highly Commended awards.
