Welcome to my corner of the internet. My name is Gordon Watson, a keen amateur photographer living in Lancashire in the North West of England. This web-site is to show-case some of my favourite photography images taken over the last few years.
Originally from Scotland, I have been interested in photography since my University days, over 40 years ago. My first SLR camera was an old second-hand model that didn’t even use batteries and exposures were based on guesswork! After starting work in 1980, I quickly upgraded my camera, and then switched to a Digital Camera in 2002. I am very fortunate to have some wonderful scenery close by – the Lake District in Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales are well known beauty spots – and my original interest in photography was based around landscapes and recording many of the hill-walks that myself and my wife enjoyed. It is only since retiring in 2016 that I joined a local camera club and decided to try to improve my photography. Since then, I have tried other genre of photography such as wildlife or portrait work, and also developed my post processing and compositing skills.
