Every year, my wife and I try to organise at least one main holiday to parts of the world that offer good opportunities for landscape photography. Usually we have planned and organised the holidays ourselves, hiring a car which allows us to go our own way at our own pace. By travelling independently, we can spend as much time as we like on photography, and re-visit locations of the conditions change or improve. We usually plan our itineraries so that we are not travelling every day, but instead spend a couple of days at each main location in the hope that over a coupe of days we might get some good weather, before we move on to the next location. Of course, when holidays are booked several months in advance, there is no way to predict what the weather will be. Sometimes we have been lucky and sometimes not, however the countries and locations we have visited have always been interesting and sometimes spectacular, so I hope you will find something of interest below.
2016 – New England
During September and October 2016 we had a 2 week fly/drive holiday in New England.
2017 – Maddona Di Campiglio
In January 2017 we visited the Italian ski resort of Madonna Di Campiglio.
